Kids of the Arts (KOTA) is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization creating innovative entertainment and inspiring young people to follow their passion and make a positive impact on the world. Directed by Laura Luc, many of this organization's productions help benefit charities locally and around the world. KOTA has trained and worked with performers from over 50 Broadway procductions and National Tours as well as feature films and television shows.
Joy Kate is forever grateful to have been inspired by Laura Luc to follow her dreams and for the amazing friendships she has made within this amazing group!

Joy Kate learned about AFSP (American Foundation of Suicide Prevention) while performing at the Charity Event Lyrics for Life (produced by KOTA in NYC and LA). She is passionate about suicide prevention and supporting those with mental health illness as she has family members and close friends who have suffered from depression and she has lost friends and family to suicide.
The Literacy Initiative is an organization directed by Agha Haider and based out of St Louis, MO and Los Angeles, CA that organizes books drives in schools and local businesses and promotes reading to underprivileged kids in America.
Agha found Joy Kate on Backstage and reached out to her to become an ambassador for this program. Joy Kate gladly accepted as she loves to read and her support of reading in schools is ongoing especially as she enjoys reading at local elementary schools where she lives.
